SolarBond™ High Performance Pressure Sensitive Bonding Tapes are a Clean Alternative to Messy Slow Curing Liquid Silicone or Butyl Adhesives.

 

SolarBond tapes incorporate an advanced elastomeric foam core with high performance acrylic adhesives. The foam core acts as an insulator and vibration dampener. The fast adhesion and long-term durability of the tapes help improve fabrication efficiency and provide cost savings.

SolarBond tapes are designed to develop high performance bonds to reduce or replace conventional mechanical fasteners, rivets, liquid adhesives and welds. Once adhered, it will increase in bond strength over time. All SolarBond tapes have excellent weathering properties and are designed for exterior environments.

 

Construction

Construction of SolarBond: high performance bonding tape for CSP application

  • 100% Acrylic polymer or elastomeric foamed polyurethane core – unique formulations designed to absorb vibration and distribute stress forces over the entire bond area.
  • High grade Acrylic Adhesive – combine properties of high tack to facilitate assembly, no cure time required, with excellent ultimate adhesion strength. Modified acrylic adhesives perform in a wide range of temperatures with constant service temperature range of -40°C to 93°C, up to 150°C intermittently.

  • Pre-formed bonding tape design is easy to apply, required no mixing or cleaning and is VOC free.
  • Energy dissipating elastomeric foam core absorbs joint stress from wind, snow and thermal movement activity.
  • High tack cross-linked acrylic adhesives bonds instantly and achieves ultimate strength quickly. Assemblies can be handled immediately. No waiting for wet glues to cure.
  • Polyethylene plastic liner removes easily and cleanly facilitating assembly operations.
  • Roll configuration for hand application or semi automation. Long length spools for fully automated systems.
  • Prevents corrosion of dissimilar materials by eliminating the contact between them.

  • Solid acrylic core with acrylic adhesive and protective PE liner
  • Gauges from 0.8 mm – 2.3 mm
  • Width from 10 mm to 450 mm/li>
  • Rolls up to 33 M, custom long length spools and die cut shapes

 

COHRlastic® Family of High Performance Silicone Rubber Products are Ideal for High Temperature Gasketing Applications

 

COHRlastic is a flexible resilient silicone rubber with a unique chemical structure which gives it a high temperature stability and general inertness unavailable in any other elastomer. As a result COHRlastic silicone rubber works in applications where no other material can be used.

Silicones physical properties are not adversely affected by prolonged exposures to temperatures from -70°C to +260°C. In addition, it can withstand intermittent exposure to even higher temperatures. Silicone outperforms other elastomers in resistance to thermal degradation, general service life, compression set resistance, electrical strength and non-stick properties.

Strip-N-Stick® 100S and 200A

  • R10470 silicone sponge with pressure sensitive adhesive
  • 100S with high temperature silicone adhesive
  • 200A with aggressive acrylic adhesive
  • Easy to apply and conforms to irregular surfaces
  • Slit rolls from 12 mm to 890 mm
  • Gauges from 1.6 mm to 4.8 mm
